Bathroom exhaust fans operate in an environment of give and take.
They take air away as long as you provide a means of replacing the air that is taken away.
And just like your bank account, ‘you can only take out what you put in!’
Exhaust fans are commonly used in a bathroom and wet areas.
The socially recognised purpose is not to fog up the mirror by removing air borne moisture.
Removal of moisture in the bathroom or any wet area is essential so to avoid occurrence of mould which gives rise to bacteria and odour.
Ideally air ingress is placed opposite to fan so as to air wash the area between ingress and egress.
The location of the air ingress becomes the reference point because the egress is ideally located above the the shower area where the heated air/water (steam) is concentrated
Pay no attention to the multi tasking products.
These products are designed for the impulse buyer who think they’ve just discovered a cost saving answer without understanding bathroom dynamics.
Then when reality bites they want to know why they were encouraged to dupe themselves
